Martin Luther King 2025 is a nationwide initiative to commemorate the a hundredth anniversary of the delivery of Martin Luther King Jr. The initiative goals to advertise King’s legacy of nonviolence and social justice, and to encourage a brand new technology of activists to battle for equality.
The initiative was launched in 2015 by the King Heart, a nonprofit group based by King’s widow, Coretta Scott King. The initiative has since been endorsed by a variety of organizations, together with the Nationwide Affiliation for the Development of Coloured Individuals (NAACP), the Southern Christian Management Convention (SCLC), and the AFL-CIO.
