Texas is eliminating most automobile security inspections beginning January 2025. Because of this drivers in Texas will now not be required to get their autos inspected yearly. This alteration is predicted to save lots of drivers money and time.
The choice to get rid of automobile security inspections was made by the Texas Legislature in 2021. The legislation that eradicated the inspections was signed by Governor Greg Abbott in June 2021. The legislation goes into impact on January 1, 2025.
